A Letter to my Midwife

I did it!  I had a vaginal birth after a very traumatic cesarean section!  I pushed my baby out into my husband's arms and rolled over in my own bed and went to sleep with my family.  I gave birth!  I am a powerful woman!

You are right.  Every bit of this is true.  But I could not have done it without you.  The education, the support, the confidence, and the gentle touch you provided were the reasons I was able to do this.

You will forever hold a place in my heart.  In my whole family's heart.

I wish I could find something that would repay you for what you have done for me.

For now, this is all I can do:

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.  Thank you.
